Amy Burke

Amy Burke is Director of Government Relations for Texas Instruments, resident in the Washington DC office. Her portfolio includes innovation, university research, workforce, education, and U.S. intellectual property issues. She represents TI's public policy interests on these issues with Congress and the Administration.

Prior to joining TI in 2005, Ms. Burke was Manager of Government Affairs for the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) for three years. In this role, she worked with Congress and the Administration on a range of issues affecting the semiconductor industry, including international trade, university research funding, and manufacturing competitiveness. She was involved in the now-resolved World Trade Organization complaint filed against China on behalf of the U.S. semiconductor industry over a discriminatory value-added tax.

Previously, Ms. Burke spent several years with the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration. As Associate Director of the Central and Eastern Europe Business Information Center, she oversaw a business development program with operations in 15 countries. She also served as the Baltic Desk Officer, managing issues in the U.S. bilateral trade relationships with Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Ms. Burke completed her undergraduate degree in European Studies at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. In addition, she holds a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
