Amy Hammer is an Assistant General Counsel in the Intellectual Property group at Verizon Communications Inc. Prior to joining Verizon, Amy served as an associate counsel and special assistant in the Office of the Counsel to the President. Previously, Amy was in private practice at the law firm of Wiley Rein & Fielding. Amy began her career as a staffer on Capitol Hill, first as a legislative aide to Sen. John H. Chafee and later as senior staff and counsel on two Senate committees. She graduated with honors from Brown University and the Georgetown University Law Center.
