Chris Gallagher is an influential and highly regarded advocate at the New Hampshire Legislature and at state and federal agencies. As general counsel for the New Hampshire Bankers Association, and representing utilities, hospitals, insurers, construction and other businesses whose economic objectives must align with government regulation, Chris has participated in virtually every substantial New Hampshire economic regulatory action in the last 25 years. These activities have also included representation of large manufacturers, New Hampshire lake interests, and The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests.
A frequent speaker and commentator in local and national media on policy issues regarding financial services, business, and government, Chris has testified on financial services issues before U.S. House and Senate committees. He has served as a director and vice chair of the Corporation for National Service (AmeriCorps), a director of the New Hampshire Business & Industry Association, and as a member of the board of governors of New Hampshire Public Television. He is a member of the roster of the Financial Services Committee of NAFTA, an incorporator of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, and a member of the editorial advisory board of Privacy and Information Law Report.
A cum laude graduate of Holy Cross in 1962, Chris graduated from Harvard Law School in 1965.
