Christian Genetski
Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Entertainment Software Association
Mr. Genetski is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) in Washington, DC. The ESA is the U.S. association exclusively dedicated to serving the business and public affairs needs of companies that publish computer and video games for video game consoles, personal computers, mobile devices and the Internet. As ESA's General Counsel, Mr. Genetski oversees all of the association's legal matters, including litigation, business and regulatory affairs, anti-piracy, and technology and intellectual property policy.
Prior to joining ESA, Christian was a co-founder of the law firm ZwillGen LLC and a partner at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal and Kirkland & Ellis, where he represented many of the nation's most prominent video game publishers, social networking sites, Internet portals, ISPs, and web 2.0 companies in connection with their online practices, and a trial attorney in the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section of the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice, where he prosecuted hacking and IP offenses.
