Erich Andersen

Erich Andersen is the vice president and deputy general of Microsoft's legal and corporate affairs department overseeing legal matters for the company's Windows & Windows Live Division.

A Microsoft veteran, Andersen joined Microsoft in 1995, and has worked very closely with the Microsoft product groups on legal, regulatory, technical and policy issues. During his career at the company, Andersen has worked and traveled extensively in Europe and Asia.

Before joining Microsoft, Andersen served as a law clerk on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He began his law practice in Seattle.

Andersen holds an undergraduate and law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he served as chief managing editor of the law review.
