Jacob Olcott
United States Senate Congressional Staff
Jacob Olcott is counsel for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. His portfolio includes information technology, cybersecurity, science, and space issues. He previously served as Staff Director and Counsel for the Subcommittee on Emerging Threats, Cybersecurity, Science and Technology at the U.S. House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee, where he was responsible for developing and executing the legislative and oversight agenda of the Subcommittee. He has been honored with several national awards for his work on cybersecurity issues.
Before coming to Capitol Hill, Jake worked on numerous political campaigns around the country. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with special honors in History, and the University of Virginia School of Law.
