Jed Rice

Mr. Rice is VP, Market Development at Skyhook Wireless where he is responsible for identifying and creating new market opportunities for Skyhook's Wi-Fi positioning technology while solidifying the company's position as the only commercial-grade WiFi positioning system capable of supporting a broad range of Location-Based Services (LBS). He is also responsible for launching and managing Loki, the first 'mass-consumer' location-based service - an auto-location aware Internet search and navigation application that is available as a free download at www.loki.com.

Just before joining the Skyhook management team, Mr. Rice created, launched and led the Self-Service OnDemand initiative at Siebel Systems where he successfully managed a team that closed the largest OnDemand contract in the company's history. Responsible for product management, product marketing, sales support and establishing the operational infrastructure, Mr. Rice was able to create a +$5million annual business in less than 12 months.

Mr. Rice joined Siebel as part of the acquisition of edocs where he held a wide range of senior positions managing new market initiatives. As Director, Business Development he established and managed the strategic relationship with Siebel which eventually led to its acquisition of edocs. He also led edocs' entry into the Public Sector market and was also responsible for managing strategic OEM, reseller and systems integrator relationships.

Prior to edocs, Mr. Rice served as a corporate attorney with a nationally recognized law firm serving the high-tech and VC communities. During his practice, he was involved with and led a wide-range of strategic transactions to include VC financings, M&A deals, IPOs and technology licensing relationships.

Mr. Rice holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a joint JD/MBA from Boston College.
