Marc Berejka

Senior Policy Advisor, Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Commerce

Marc Berejka has been a policy advisor to Commerce Secretary Gary Locke since July 2009. He is responsible for identifying policy levers that can be used to promote innovation. To this end, he collaborates most closely with three divisions at Commerce -- PTO, NIST and NTIA -- as well as with the White House's tech policy team. He co-leads the Commerce Department's newly formed Internet Policy Task Force. For the preceding 12 years, he held various public policy roles in the high tech sector. He spent the first part of his career as a telecommunications lawyer. His J.D. is from Georgetown and his B.A. is from Princeton University.
