Meg Hardon
Infineon Technologies
Meg is Senior Policy Director for global semiconductor company Infineon Technologies. As Infineon's Washington representative since 2001, she is responsible for identifying and managing policy issues ranging from trade to procurement to technology standards. Meg has been deeply engaged with the broad range of issues surrounding the application of smart card technology to identification documents, especially the U.S. ePassport for which Infineon is the volume supplier to the U.S. State Department. Infineon is global leader in secure chip technology and also develops and manufactures a wide range of RFID products for applications in item tracking. With more than 20 years of experience in international business, Meg has worked on a broad range of policy issues including trade, investment, technology, and e-commerce.
Previous to joining Infineon, Meg was a strategic business and international affairs analyst for companies entering the global market or expanding their international business operations. She designed and implemented strategies for small businesses and large corporations to identify suppliers and acquisition targets, negotiated trade and investment deals, and facilitated import and export processes.
Meg has a BA in Political Science from Duke University, a MA in international relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS. She has lived and worked overseas, including working for a Member of the European Parliament, and a Directorate of the European Commission.
