Mia is the Product Counsel for YouTube, which involves advice on a range of product design matters related to copyright, privacy and other issues. Prior to working at Google, Mia was the General Counsel for Creative Commons, a non-profit dedicated to enabling artists, educators and scientists to make their works available on more flexible licensing terms. She is admitted to practise in both California and New South Wales, Australia, and has worked as an associate in law firms in both jurisdictions.
Mia received an LL.M. from Stanford University, specializing in Law, Science & Technology in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in 1998.
