Privacy Tech Fair Promotional poster

As you know, consumer concerns over online privacy threaten the continued growth of the Internet. The marketplace is responding by developing many new technologies that enhance consumer privacy by managing "cookies," masking identities, encrypting email, implementing P3P policies, and canning Spam. These tools are rolling out daily and the Internet Caucus Advisory Committee has brought nearly 20 of the most robust of these privacy tools to Capitol Hill for a one-stop-shopping demonstration for Members, staff and the public -- the Privacy Technology Fair. Please join us on Wednesday, September 20 starting at 12:30 PM in HC-5 for an "expo" of privacy tools that can enhance constituent privacy. Light snacks and beverages will be served and you can stop by at any time through 3:30 PM to informally review the technologies on display. Member comments and a brief overview will start at 12:30 PM.
