Recent Terrorist Attacks Spur Congressional Electronic Surveillance Forum

Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee Hosts Electronic Surveillance Discussion

WHAT: Congressional Internet Caucus Electronic Surveillance Panel. The event will focus on the proposals that have come forward to strengthen the U.S.'s current surveillance capabilities and authorities that apply to communications networks and technologies. This event is hosted by the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee in conjunction with the Internet Caucus and its Co-Chairs, Senators Leahy and Burns, and Congressmen Goodlatte and Boucher.

WHO: The esteemed panelists include: Viet Dinh, Assistant Attorney General for Legal Policy for the United State Department of Justice; John Podesta, Law professor at Georgetown University; James Dempsey, Deputy Director of Center for Democracy and Technology and Bruce Heiman, Partner, Preston Gates Ellis & Rouvelas Meeds, LLP.
