On Wednesday February 11, 2004 The Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee (ICAC) hosted its seventh annual Reception and Technology Fair to kick off its 2004 program of educational events. Hosted in conjunction with the Internet Caucus Co-Chairs. The goal of this annual tech fair was to bring cutting-edge technology demonstrations to Capitol Hill that illustrated the power and flexibility of the Internet as medium for communications, commerce, and democracy. These hands-on demonstrations helped to illustrate some of the pressing policy issues that face Congress.
This year over 700 people attended the Kickoff, including Members of Congress, Congressional staff, press and representatives from the FCC, DoC, FTC and private sector organizations.
