Technology Demonstration Fair
February 8, 2006, 5-7 pm
Overview | Conference | Demonstrators
On Wednesday, February 8, 2006, the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee (ICAC) hosted the 9th Annual Kickoff Reception and Technology Fair to commence its 2006 program of educational events. Attendees saw over 25 hands-on demonstrations from major companies and innovators. They further test-drive the latest technology, and learned more about how the Internet is changing all our lives.
This event serves as a great opportunity for policymakers, staffers, industry executives and public interest advocates to come together, in an atmosphere of technology, to network with their peers. Hosted in conjunction with the Internet Caucus and its Co-Chairs, the goal of this annual tech fair is to bring cutting-edge technology demonstrations to Capitol Hill that illustrate the power and flexibility of the Internet as medium for communications, commerce, and democracy.
The Internet Caucus Kickoff Reception and Technology Fair was held on Capitol Hill, immediately following the 2nd Annual Internet Caucus State of the Net Conference, which was held at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill (Conference Web page). Download the
Kickoff invitation flyer.
This year over 700 people attended the Kickoff, including Members of Congress, Congressional staff, press and representatives from the FCC, DoC, FTC and private sector organizations. Please contact Charles Willson at 202. 638.4370 or e-mail at cwillson@netcaucus.org if you have any questions.
