CollaboraTV applies social media to video viewing for sharing thoughts and comments while you watch a video with others, each at your own web browser and your own time. From a browser select a video and audience members and begin watching. You can watch simultaneously or at different times. At any point type a comment using the keyboard or insert an emoticon or thumbs up or down from a menu. Comments and feedback are seen in real time by viewers watching simultaneously and saved where inserted for others to see later. The playbar lets you skip directly to each viewer insertion. It works equally well for work collaborations. Team members working with one another to create videos can easily request changes or make suggestions to refine the content. The ability to directly insert comments into video, similar to a file editing program comment feature, fits a growing need as more information is dispersed through video rather than traditional documents. CollaboraTV can be used to elicit test audience feedback and evaluates viewer interest at any part of a video. A graph summarizes what is compelling to the audience and lets viewers compare their interest level with that of others.

This demonstration will highlight an analytical database and dynamic mapping tool that enables strategic decision-making in complex policy environments. Our Policy MappingSM technology allows policy makers to instantly view and sort data from various perspectives (e.g., missions, organizations, functions) across a specific environment. Generating a visualization of a policy landscape provides leaders with a unique, holistic perspective of the policy authorities and legislative requirements that affect them and their stakeholders. NET CETERA: Free Tools to Help Kids Stay Safe Online
The internet offers a world of opportunities. People of all ages share photos and videos, build online profiles, text each other and create alter egos in the form of online avatars. These ways of socializing and communicating can be fulfilling, and yet, they come with risks.
The Net Cetera Community Outreach Toolkit was designed to help people get information to their own communities about protecting kids online. The tool kit It includes Net Cetera, a guide for parents; Heads Up, information for kids; slides and videos to use in a presentation; and ideas to help people spread the word about online safety. Regardless of one's experience as a speaker - or one's expertise in online safety - this kit gives the speaker everything needed to do a talk about protecting kids online. The kit is meant for parents, teachers, law enforcement officers - in short, anyone who cares about the subject - to use with friends, neighbors, colleagues, teachers and kids. How it's used is up to the individual, but could include giving a presentation, playing the videos at a meeting, or distributing the Net Cetera booklet through local schools or PTAs.
The kit is part of OnGuardOnline.gov, a project that provides practical tips from the federal government and the technology community to help people ward off internet fraud, secure their computers and protect their privacy. The project is managed by the Federal Trade Commission, the nation's consumer protection agency, and includes more than a dozen federal agencies.

Intuit Health will showcase its transformational online patient portal that allows patients easier access to their health information and better communication with their doctor's practice. This Software as a Service (SAAS) solution is currently used by more than 3 million patients and 33,000 providers. Patients use the portal more than 100,000 times each day to request appointments, pay bills, refill prescriptions, complete medical forms, receive lab results, conduct virtual office visits, and exchange messages for related care and administrative issues with their provider's office. The ways in which people use their mobile phones are changing daily. No longer are these phones just used to place calls - people now use them to edit documents, watch TV and keep up with their friends on Facebook. As people use their phones more often, mobile phone behavior has changed. It is now not unusual for the occasional phone to drop in a toilet or for someone to answer a call while on a date. The prevalence of this type of mobile phone behavior is changing society as we know it, and the new Windows Phone 7 is shining a light on this cultural phenomenon of bad phone behavior. By reimagining the way people access information on their smartphones, Windows Phone 7 is designed to allow people to perform common tasks more easily and faster.

Open Source Wireless Mesh Network
The Open Technology Initiative will demonstrate an open source mesh wireless network that can be utilized to provide affordable Internet access through a shared communications infrastructure. This rapidly-deployed, ultra-low-cost network is a real-world example of how to use innovative technologies and business models to extend broadband access, enhance public safety, and strengthen community ties. Further, the demonstrated high-speed wireless network will showcase neighborhood-based applications and a community Intranet. The demonstration goals are threefold: to demonstrate the accessibility of wireless technologies, use Internet Protocol and wireless networking to simulate locally-determined needs, and provide a real-world proof-of-concept that can be generalized to all projects types across the country. The demonstration deployment will cover the area with a wireless Intranet using high-capacity mesh routers similar to what would be mounted on rooftops and other exterior high points with electrical power and maximum line-of-sight to the rest of the neighborhood. An Intranet functions like the Internet, except it provides local connectivity among network participants. Intranets can be used to distribute Internet access -- providing higher speeds, lower costs, and other benefits of cooperative purchasing and management -- and can also support local applications, such as neighbor-to-neighbor VOIP calls, environmental monitoring, neighborhood web cameras and alert systems, and hyper-local information distribution and web portals.

Demo attendees will be able to see this technology platform in action via a live implementation of TRUSTed Ads. Vobile will demonstrate its VDNA™ technology, which enables fully automated identification, tracking and management of any video or audio content with efficiency, accuracy and scalability. VDNA™ technology is currently deployed by major Hollywood studios, television networks and record labels to find unauthorized copies of their copyrighted material on third party web sites. The VDNA system automatically finds and accurately identifies material across Internet publishing platforms including UGC sites, Cyberlockers, and P2P networks. VDNA technology can also monitor live broadcasts - discovering unauthorized simulcasts of live events such as sporting events or concerts. Real-time reporting lets content owners assess and respond quickly to unauthorized usage. One of the powerful aspects of content identification is enabling the adherence to business rules generated by the content owner. Once the system has identified content online, the VDNA system automatically applies business rules established by the content owner. The content owner can specify how they wish their content to be handled when it is identified: they can remove the content, replace the content or redirect the viewer to another website. The business rules offer content owners increased control over the online consumption of their copyright protected material. Vobile technology enables applications including anti-piracy initiatives, monetizing opportunities and improved management of premium digital assets.

It's Your Call & Wired With Wisdom (Parent Digital Safety Guide in Spanish)
Web Wise Kids, along with the Verizon Foundation and the ESA Foundation, launched the first interactive game on sexting and cyberbullying. This demo will highlight the new game, It's Your Call, and the other resources available through Web Wise Kids. Wired With Wisdom, provides parents, and other adults, with useful information and solutions related to the problems faced by today's e-generation. This interactive and fun safety guide tells parents and teachers what they need to know to talk to kids about issues like cyberbullying, sexting, mobile phone safety, and protecting the family computer. The Wired With Wisdom Program in Spanish, sponsored by the ESA Foundation, is a brand new interactive parent program launching in 2011, for parents who speak Spanish as their primary language. Over 10 million youth and 4000 schools have been reached with the Web Wise Kids suite of games teaching internet safety and empowering youth to make wise choices in their digital lives.

Ad Interest Manager gives Yahoo! users a view of the categories of interest Yahoo! has put them in based on their online activity, and the ability to turn off the categories, or to opt-out all together from interest-based advertising. As a leading contributor and in support of industry self-regulatory efforts, Yahoo! has recorded over 1 trillion impressions of CLEAR Ad Notice which provides enhanced notice in close proximity to the advertising consumers receive and a link for them to follow to learn more about their choices - such as Yahoo's Ad Interest Manager and industry-wide opt-out pages.
